Experienced and structured support for your clinical work and professional development.
Clinical Supervision
Supervision is offered online, which means that you can choose a safe, quiet, confidential place for us to meet at your convenience. There are huge benefits to working digitally including screen sharing and live populating of documentation and resources by both Supervisor and Supervisee, making this a truly collaborative process. Skills practice can also be digitally recorded and accessed between supervisions where needed.
Sessions are normally 60-90 minutes in duration, with each session tailored to meet your needs.
Whether you’re currently in training or looking for an opportunity to focus on your professional development, I offer a supportive, reflective, and structured supervision space tailored to your individual goals. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a focus on building confidence, enhancing clinical skills, and ensuring high standards of care. Supervision is more than a requirement—it's a vital space for growth, learning, and connection, and I’d be delighted to support you on that journey.
Meet your Supervisor
Paula Fitzsimon
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Hello, I'm Paula - a CBT therapist and Clinical Supervisor with 20 years' experience, including over a decade working within the NHS.
I'm accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and currently serve as a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Chester, a role I've held for six years.
My approach to Clinical Supervision is highly personalised, ensuring that each session is tailored to your needs. I believe supervision should be a collaborative process, where we work together to help you grow and develop as a practitioner throughout your career.
My academic role keeps me closely connected to the latest developments in national guidance and CBT protocols, enabling me to provide high-quality supervision and support your ongoing professional development.

I offer a supportive and structured one-to-one supervision space, tailored to your professional goals and stage of development. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and formulation-led, focused on building your confidence, refining your clinical skills, and promoting high-quality, ethical care.
Supervision can support BABCP accreditation requirements, ongoing CPD, or simply a space to think through complex or challenging cases with an experienced, accredited supervisor. Sessions are available online or in person, with flexible scheduling to fit around your caseload.
-
If you're currently in training, I offer a supportive and structured supervision space designed to help you build confidence, develop your clinical skills, and meet your course requirements. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental environment where you can grow and reflect as a developing therapist.
Whether you're training in high-intensity CBT or working as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) in low-intensity interventions, I tailor supervision to your course and role requirements, including case discussion, treatment planning, and preparation for recordings or assessments where needed.
-
As part of my supervision services for trainees, I also provide detailed, course-aligned reports to support your academic and clinical progression. These reports are tailored to meet the specific requirements of your training programme and can include assessments of clinical competence, reflective feedback, and summaries of your development over time. I’m familiar with the documentation standards of many training providers and work collaboratively with supervisees to ensure all necessary information is completed accurately and on time.
